The TriTel UTI 2.0
Copyright (c) 1991 By Mark D. Goodwin
TriTel UTI is distributed a freeware. Registered TriTel sysops
are free to use TriTel UTI with their boards. Unregistered
TriTel sysops are free to use TriTel UTI during their board's 30
day evaluation period. Any other use of TriTel UTI is strictly
prohibited.
The TriTel UTI 2.0 is a fully functional "Revision 2 UTI" which
allows a TriTel BBS to use both PCRelay and MegaMail. PCRelay is
an excellent netmail system and is used by such netmail systems
as RelayNet, Intelec, P-Net, etc. PCRelay is a commercial
program and you should contact the net you wish to join as to the
method you will need to use to acquire a copy. MegaMail is an
offline reader/replier. It is distributed as shareware and
registration of both the MegaMail door and the reader/replier are
free to sysops. Not only is the price right, it is one of the
best offline reader/repliers available. The most recent version
of both the MegaMail door and the reader/replier can be found on
many BBS systems across the country and can be found on the
TriTel support board: The Lobster Buoy 207-941-0805.
Setting up the TriTel UTI is an extremely simple procedure.
Simply copy all of the UTI EXE files into a subdirectory that is
in your PATH. You must then create a one line text file, UTI.CFG
(a sample UTI.CFG file is included in the ZIP file), in each work
directory that will use the UTI. For example: You would have to
place a copy of UTI.CFG in both your PCRelay directory and your
MegaMail directory if you are running both systems. Although you
only need to maintain the one copy of the UTI EXE files on your
computer, it is essential that each work directory that will use
the UTI have their own UTI.CFG file. UTI.CFG simply contains the
path to your TriTel BBS's main directory. For example: If your
main BBS directory is C:\TRITEL you would create a text file like
the following:
C:\TRITEL
It's that simple! Once they are properly set up, the TriTel UTI,
PCRelay, and Megamail will open up the vast world of netmail to
you and the users of your BBS.
